"Upgraded to the LiveScope Plus, and it’s a total game-changer. The detail is unreal — you can see fish flick their fins and move through structure in real time. Absolutely worth every cent."

    Mark H. – Queensland

"The GLS 10 module connected perfectly with my GPSMAP 8410. Everything synced right away — no fuss, no errors. Clear readings and smooth live scanning even in rough water."

    Shane D. – Western Australia

"This tech is insane — I can actually see fish moving towards my lure. The Panoptix system gives me total control offshore. Feels like having underwater radar."

GSD™ 28 SONAR MODULE: Extreme Deep-Water CHIRP Black Box (3kW Output)

The GSD™ 28 is a dedicated sonar black box engineered for **offshore sport fishing** and maximum depth penetration. This high-powered module features **Garmin RapidReturn™ sonar technology**—delivering the fastest deep-water scrolling and a ping rate 2 to 6 times faster than previous generations. With support for dual-channel CHIRP up to **3kW** and a maximum depth of **3,048 meters (10,000 feet)**, the GSD 28 reveals the depths with exceptional clarity and target separation.

    SUPERCLEAR SONAR FOR EXTREME DEPTHS

The GSD 28 utilizes advanced technology to provide captains with the clearest deep-water traditional sonar returns, enabling fast, informed decisions.

    KEY DEEP-WATER PERFORMANCE FEATURES

    • RapidReturn™ Sonar: Provides the fastest deep-water scrolling speed, significantly improving the ping rate for instant feedback on what is below the boat.
    • xCHIRP Technology: Delivers our clearest traditional sonar fish arches and excellent target separation, easily distinguishing bait from sport fish even at extreme depths.
    • Heave Compensation: Compatible with the MSC™ 10 satellite compass (sold separately) to greatly reduce wave and swell from bottom returns in rough seas.

    NETWORKING & INSTALLATION

Built with a robust, fully gasketed aluminum housing (IPX7 rated), the GSD 28 is designed for harsh marine environments and flexible installation:

    • **Transducer Support:** Supports a wide range of Garmin and AIRMAR® bare wire transducers (sold separately) from 300W up to 3kW.
    • **Connectivity:** Connects to compatible Chartplotters via the advanced **Garmin BlueNet™ Network port**, ensuring high-speed data transfer.
    • **Dual-Channel CHIRP:** Supports dual-channel CHIRP operation, allowing two different CHIRP channels (33-250 kHz range) to run simultaneously for superior coverage.

    Inverell Boating Centre Expert Note:

The GSD 28 is the professional standard for deep-water traditional sonar, capable of reaching depths up to 10,000 ft (3,048 m). It is the successor to the GSD 26, offering vastly superior ping rates via RapidReturn technology. This black box connects to the Garmin BlueNet Network and features two **bare wire** connections for professional transducer integration.
