“I upgraded to the Garmin GT56UHD and the clarity is unbelievable. You can literally see fish moving around structure. Hard Rig Marine helped me pick the right setup and it’s been spot on since day one.”

    Michael R. — Cairns, QLD

“I’m not a tech person, but the team made it super easy to install my GT54UHD transducer. Works perfectly with my ECHOMAP — I’ve never had sonar this clear in the estuary before!”

    Jenny L. — Mandurah, WA

“The Airmar B175M changed my whole deep drop setup. Way better definition and stability compared to my old transducer. You get what you pay for — and these guys know their stuff.”

    Ben T. — Newcastle, NSW

    AIRMAR® B60 (12° Tilt): Dual Frequency Thru-Hull Transducer (600W)

The AIRMAR® B60 (12° tilt) is a popular, entry-level **tilted bronze thru-hull transducer** designed for excellent depth capability and target separation. This 8-pin unit features robust **600 W Traditional Sonar** operating at **50/200 kHz** dual frequencies. The internal element is tilted by **12 degrees** to correct for deadrise angles between **8 and 15 degrees**, ensuring the sonar beam fires straight down for optimal returns down to **1,200 feet (50 kHz)** or **700 feet (200 kHz)** without the need for a fairing block.

TILTED ELEMENT DESIGN & DUAL FREQUENCY

The B60's built-in tilt simplifies installation on moderate dead-V hulls, making it an excellent choice for fiberglass and wood boats.

    KEY SONAR & INSTALLATION FEATURES

    • 600 W Traditional Sonar: Uses 50/200 kHz frequencies, providing deep penetration (50 kHz) and excellent bottom detail (200 kHz).
    • 12° Tilt Compensation: The built-in 12° tilt compensates for deadrise between **8° and 15°**, eliminating the need for a fairing block.
    • Flush Mount: Protrudes minimally outside the hull, reducing drag and turbulence for clearer readings at high speeds.
    • Bronze Housing: Durable bronze construction is ideal for **fiberglass and wood hulls** (Do not use on metal hulls).

    CONNECTIVITY AND INTEGRATION

The B60 is a reliable, permanently mounted traditional sonar solution.

    • **8-Pin Connector:** Uses the standard 8-pin connector for power, depth, and temperature data output.
    • **Cable Length:** Includes a robust **33-foot cable** for flexible routing.
    • **Compatibility Note:** When using with older 6-pin Garmin sounders, an adapter cable is required.

    Inverell Boating Centre Expert Note:

The AIRMAR B60 (12° Tilt) is a dedicated 600W Traditional Sonar unit (no scanning capability). This is a highly popular transducer because the integrated tilt makes installation easier and cleaner on moderate V-hulls (8°–15° deadrise), ensuring optimal performance for deep-water tracking. **Professional installation is essential.**
