JL AUDIO® MMR-5N2K: NMEA 2000® Wired Volume Controller

The JL Audio® MMR-5N2K is a dedicated volume controller designed to add auxiliary control to compatible **MediaMaster® source units**. Outfitted with an **NMEA 2000 Micro-C connector**, this wired remote offers simplified installation by connecting directly to the vessel's NMEA 2000 network or by simulating an isolated network using specialized powered network cables. Its **IPX7-rated design** is built to withstand harsh marine environments.

    SEAMLESS NMEA 2000® AUDIO INTEGRATION

The MMR-5N2K provides reliable, weatherproof volume control, ideal for remote locations on the boat where full source unit functionality is not required.

    KEY FEATURES & CONNECTIVITY

    • Dedicated Volume Control: Designed specifically to adjust audio levels across **all audio zones simultaneously** when the source unit's zones are set to Relative or Variable mode.
    • NMEA 2000® Connection: Utilizes the NMEA 2000 network for plug-and-play installation, simplifying wiring on integrated vessels.
    • IPX7 Rated: Engineered for extreme durability and water resistance in real-world marine applications.
    • Compact Design: Small physical dimensions (2.35" x 2.35") allow for discreet mounting.

    INSTALLATION AND SPECIFICATIONS

This wired controller is built for permanent installation and provides basic auxiliary volume control.

    • **Single Function:** Primarily designed for volume adjustment; functionality is derived solely from the host MediaMaster source unit.
    • **Networking:** Draws a low power of 100 mA (LEN 2) from the NMEA 2000 network.

    Inverell Boating Centre Expert Note:

The MMR-5N2K is the dedicated solution for adding reliable, hardwired volume control to a JL Audio MediaMaster system utilizing the NMEA 2000 network. It is crucial to set the host MediaMaster's audio zones to Relative or Variable control, as this unit adjusts **all zones simultaneously**. This is an excellent addition for boats already invested in the JL Audio/NMEA 2000 ecosystem.
